Prakash Amritraj entered Chennai Open's singles main draw after a hard fought win in the third and final qualifying round but giant-killer Yuki Bhambri fell at the last hurdle despite putting up a valiant fight in Chennaion Monday. Amritraj, barred from representing India in international events because of his US passport, defeated Lars Poerschke 7-6, 6-3 after a two-hour battle against the German. Amritraj thus joined Indian Davis Cuppers Somdev Devvarman and Rohan Bopanna in the main draw. Yuki suffered a heart-breaking 2-6, 7-6, 6-2 defeat against Louk Sorensen of Ireland in the third round match, which lasted two hour and 25 minutes.
