Prahlad Joshi assures States of all Central assistance in restarting pending projects

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Coal and Mines minister Prahlad Joshi assured the states of all Central assistance in restarting pending projects. He was speaking to media persons in Bengaluru today after holding a meeting with Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and officials from Centre and state. Mr.Joshi asked the state revenue department to conduct a survey of 12,109 acres of land belonging to Bharat Gold Mines Company in Kolar Gold Fields. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">After the survey he said the request to transfer 2213 acres to the state Industries department will be considered. He also said that exploration will be taken up for a possibility of mining natural minerals in KGF where mining is defunct now. On renewal of lease to Donimalai mines, the minister said a Committee will be appointed to  fix royalty and premium payable to the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As an interim measure, he said, premium will be increased from 15 percent to 37.25 percent. He also considered request of state government to reduce the price of coal supplied from Singrani. On resolving the dispute regarding mining in Baranja, Mr.Joshi said the royalty that is due to Maharashtra will be fixed soon to facilitate renewal of coal supply to Karnataka.</span><br />''
