The Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation on Thursday appointed Praful Patel, President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), as a Member of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Member Associations for the term 2011 to 2015. The Committee will act as a consultative body for AFC Executive Committee in matters related to Member Associations in Asia. It will discuss the development and management of professional football as well as the Club Licensing System. Besides, the Executive Committee of the AFC also appointed Patel as the Deputy Chairman of the AFC Competitions Committee. The Executive Committee also decided to appoint Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League and Rajiv Piramal, Club Director, Pune FC, as Co-opted members of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Professional Clubs for the term of 2011 to 2015. The Committee will act as a consultative body for AFC Executive Committee in matters related to Professional Clubs and Leagues in Asia.
