In Nepal, the parliament has decided to go for a second round of election to elect a new Prime Minister as both the contestants – Pushpa Kamal Dahal of the Unified CPN(Maoist) and Ram Chandra Poudel of the Nepali Congress failed to muster a simple majority in the polls held last evening. Care taker Prime Minister and senior CPN(UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal announced the withdrawal of the candidature of the party nominee Jhalnath Khanal from the Prime Ministerial race as he could not obtain the required two-third majority as required by the party central committee decision. AIR Correspondent reports that the Parliament will meet again on Friday.
