Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu today dedicated the Okha-Kanalus and Porbandar-Wansjaliya Sections of Gujarat as Green Corridor Sections, free from human waste discharge from trains.<br/> <br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr Prabhu said, Jammu-Katra section of Northern Railway would be taken up next and the target for completion is by March next year.<br/> <br/>He said that Indian Railways is continuously trying to adopt environmentally sustainable practices so that environment is not degraded.<br/> <br/>The Minister appealed to the general public to use the bio-toilets properly and not to throw solid waste in it such as water bottles. Mr Prabhu said, the Ministry has already provided about 48 thousand bio-toilets in about 14 thousand passenger coaches.
