Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL), Asia's largest DAP fertiliser plant, has lined up an expansion plan of Rs 600 crore for the next three years in setting up an all-new Sulphuric Acid plant with 2000 tonnes per day capacity, enhancing capacity and efficiency of its existing Sulphuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid and Fertiliser plant at its project site at Paradeep in Odisha. Addressing media persons at Bhubaneswar, Managing Director of PPL, S S Nandurdikar said PPL will also set up a gypsum pond at a cost of Rs 100 crore and the investment plan has been cleared by the PPL Board of Directors. He said, PPL will achieve a plant capacity of 15, 00,000 tonnes annually on completion of the expansion plan. The company recorded a total income of Rs 3630.64 crore with a net profit of Rs 177.08 crore for 2010-11.
