PP Chaudhary inaugurates building of NIELIT

Union Minister of State for Electronics & IT, Law & Social Justice P.P. Chaudhary today inaugurated the building of National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in Agartala. On this occasion, the Minister said, since the technology has become a game changer in today's world, this kind of institutes are required for the country. <br/><br/>Informing about various courses run by NIELIT, Mr. Chaudhary said, new innovation and research oriented courses are required to compete with the world. He added that the awareness about intellectual property rights in our country is very low. <br/><br/>He said, various developed countries earn huge profits from Intellectual property rights without depending on manufacturing. He urged NIELIT to create IPR as much as they can and become a centre of excellence for innovation and research. He further added that due to robust digital infrastructure, the demonetization issue was successfully handled. <br/> <br/>NIELIT Agartala is the 11th centre of the country and the 5th in the North-Eastern Region. With an outlay of 52.76 crore rupees, the project has been set up in 15 acre land at Bodhjungnagar near Agartala provided by the Tripura government.
