Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has commissioned transmission projects worth Rs 30,300 crore during 2015-16. It is the highest-ever commissioning achieved by the Navratna company in its history. The Company achieved the planned Capex of 22 thousand 500 crore rupees. The commissioned projects include NER-Agra Interconnection Project, Inter-Regional lines between Eastern Region and Western Region, Eastern and Northern Region, Western Region and Southern Region and Northern and Western Regions. The highlights of the year include establishment of two new international interconnections, one with Nepal and the other with Bangladesh.
