<span style="color: #222222;">A powerful storm has hit central and western Japan, injuring over  20 people and cutting power to thousands of homes. Typhoon Jongdari  brought torrential rain and winds of up to 180 kilometres an hour. Meteorological Agency officials said, the storm made landfall in Fukuoka Prefecture this evening.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Heavy rain and strong winds are likely to continue in the Shikoku and Kyushu regions as the storm is expected to slow down and linger off western Kyushu for some time. Country's public broadcaster NHK reports that 150,000 homes are without power.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The agency has warned people to be prepared for landslides, overflowing rivers, floods in low-lying areas, high waves as storm surges.</span><br />
