Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today advocated the need for greater reliability and efficiency of power systems in the country. <br/><br/>Launching the 'India Smart Grid Forum' in the capital today,he stressed on the development and deployment of renewable sources of energy.<br/><br/>The minister stated that the use of renewable sources of energy would bring with itself inevitable challenges for the grid which would be dealt by using modern communications and control technologies. <br/><br/>Mr.Shinde said that adoption of latest technologies will help India compete at the global platform and address the problem of power deficit in the country.
