He said, the country was power deficit then but the present government has added 166-megawatt power capacity resulting in four lakh megawatt power capacity now. <br />''<br />''Briefing media in on power and renewable energy issues in New Delhi today, the Minister said, the government has connected the entire country into one grid where around one lakh twelve thousand megawatt of power can be transferred from one corner of country to another in just one go. <br />''<br />''The Minister said that the government has added over 2.86 lakh crore homes with power supply in the last 18-19 months.  He informed that in view of rising power demand in recent times, Coal India Limited has been asked to increase coal production.</span><br />
