Under the Cochlear Implant Scheme of the Government of India for hearing disability hundred children under 6 years have benefited as a result of Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of the Power Finance Corporation. <br/><br/>Besides, the Government of India organised more than 5890 camps for helping people with various kinds of disabilities. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, on an initiative to empower the hearing disabled, Power Finance Corporation has come forward to help the children from homes who cannot afford expensive surgeries that cost around Rs. six lakh. <br/><br/>836 children with hearing disability have been cured through cochlear implant. Also more than 9 lakh disabled have received aid during the camps organised by Government of India for various disabilities.
