In West Bengal , the ‘Poush Mela’ has began at Santiniketan with Bramha upasana on Friday. The vice-Chancellor of the Viswa Bharati University professor Susanta Dutta Gupta addressed the upasana.The ‘Poush Mela’ was started at Santiniketan by Maharshi Debendranath Tagore. Our correspondent reports that tourists from the country and abroad have gathered at Santiniketan to have a glimpse of Bengal ‘s traditional craft and culture.Strict security measures have been taken around the mela compound. The fair will continue till 5th of next month.
