Karnataka remained peaceful with no untoward incident reported from anywhere after the Ayadhya verdict. Director General and IGP Ajai Kumar Singh 800 people were taken into preventive custody and strict police patrolling will continue till peace is assured. He also said 1300 video cameras are deployed in the entire state. Earlier today Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa took stock of the security situation in Bangaluru after the verdict was out. Home Minister Ashoka also held a meeting with religious leaders and declared that any public display of jubilation over the verdict will not be tolerated.AIR Correspondent reports, anticipated fear and probable consequences took over the psyche of Bangaloreans today.It was mad rush towards home at 3.30 pm and deserted roads and closed shops and establishment by 5.30 pm in Bangaluru today. But the children had a field day as the empty roads were transformed by them into cricket grounds. The police in riot gear were seen at vintage points of city streets. In the meeting participated by Hindu and Muslim religious heads there was bonhomie with both the sides complimenting each other in appealing for communal harmony.
