In Manipur, portfolios have been allocated to the newly inducted eight cabinet ministers of the Ibobi Singh Ministry. Former state assembly Speaker I Hemochandra has been given Public Health Engineering, Labour and Employment while the keenly watched Works portfolio has been given to Dr Kh Ratan Kumar along with Transport Department. Govindas Konthoujam will take the charge of Commerce and Industries, Sericulture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry while M Okendro Singh will be in-charge of Education and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Francis Ngajokpa has been given Rural Development and Panchayati Raj along with Economics and Statistics while Irrigation and Flood Control along with Printing and Stationery will be looked after by Ngamthang Haokip. Kumari AK Mirabai has been entrusted with the departments of Social Welfare and Co-operation, while Agriculture and Fisheries have gone to Md Abdul Nashir.
