Portal meant for registration of sr citizens for Covid vaccination rectified: BBMP Commissioner

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad has informed that the technical snag encountered by the portal meant for the registration of senior citizens for Covid vaccination has been rectified.<br />'' <br />''Speaking to the media persons in Bengaluru today, he said that due to the snag only 1063 persons were vaccinated in Bengaluru on day one.<br />'' <br />''But now the problem is solved and today 4600 senior citizens and those with co-morbidity were vaccinated today in 26 hospitals.<br />'' <br />''AIR Correspondent reports, the third phase of vaccination has gained pace in Bengaluru today.<br />'' <br />''The Commissioner of BBMP Manjunath Prasad reviewed the arrangements for vaccination today. <br />'' <br />''He said that from next week 107 private hospitals with 100 bed capacity and 141 Primary Health Centres and Referral hospitals will be ready to vaccinate 60,000 people every day. <br />''  <br />''He also pointed out that efforts are on to increase vaccination capacity to one lakh people every day in Bengaluru. <br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Commissioner also said that 15 lakh senior citizens living in slums who are unable to register on the portal are contacted by Asha workers and ANMs and will be vaccinated from next week. </span><br />
