Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that port sector in India is expecting over Rs. 2 lakh crore of investment in Maritime India Summit-2016 going to be held in Mumbai this month.<br/><br/>After chairing a high level meeting on Sagarmala Project in New Delhi today, Mr. Gadkari said investment in the sector will give boost to port led development in the country. <br/><br/>Mr Gadakari said the project is aimed to reduce logistic cost which is very high in India compare to China and other Developed countries.<br/><br/>He said Sagarmala project will led to development of costal states through mechanization, modernization and capacity building of major and non-major ports and would create huge employment besides boosting the country's GDP.
