In Assam, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today visited Karimganj sector of the India-Bangladesh border in Assam and said the porous border will be sealed in 2016. Home Minister expressed satisfaction with ongoing border fencing work in Karimganj district. The Home Minister is on a two-day visit to the state. The Minister also inspected the Steamer Ghat Border Out Posts (BOP) in the district. <br/><br/>Mr. Singh was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Sarbananda Sonowal and a delegation of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) during the visit to the border.<br/><br/>Talking to the local media persons, Home Minister said the border issue with Bangladesh will be solved soon. The BSF Officials also briefed the Minister regarding the security situation.<br/>Tomorrow, Mr Rajnath Singh will inspect the Sonahat border outpost in Indo- Bangladesh border in Dhubri and take part in sainik sammellan .
