Australia captain Ricky Ponting has been fined 40 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of breaching the ICC's Code of Conduct during Test match against England in Melbourne today.<br/><br/>According to a statement of ICC issued in Dubai today, Ponting was charged with a Level 1 offence, which relates to arguing or entering into a prolonged discussion with the umpire about his decision.<br/><br/>Ponting pleaded guilty to the charge and the matter was determined by ICC Match Referee Ranjan Madugalle. Ricky Ponting apologised for his action and stated that he has nothing but respect for the umpires and his on-field actions were not intended to show disrespect to umpire Aleem Dar or Tony Hill.
