In Jammu and Kashmir, polling for the 5th and final phase of Assembly Elections is going on peacefully across the 20 constituencies in the three poll bound border districts of Jammu, Kathua and Rajouri today. AIR correspondent reports that around 40 percent polling has been recorded when the report last came in.

In Jharkhand, above 53 percent polling has taken place till 1 pm in 16 constituencies in the fifth and last phase of election. AIR correspondent reports that maximum above 60 percent electorate have exercised their franchise in Naxal hit Shikarpara constituency in Dumka district. Polling is going on under tight security.
