In Jharkhand, about 14 percent polling has been recorded during the first two hours till 9 am in 16 constituencies in the fifth and last phase of election. AIR correspondent reports that maximum 16 percent electorate have exercised their franchise in Pakud assembly constituency, followed by 15 percent polling at Maheshpur, Shikaripada, Godda, Rajmahal and Poreyahat constituencies. The minimum 11 percent votes have been recorded in Dumka and Nala constituencies.
Polling is going on under tight security. Three vehicles have been seized by security forces, which were being plied by different political parties without permission in Godda district. No untoward incident has been reported from any of the poll bound districts of Dumka, Pakud, Jarmundi, Sahebganj, Godda and Deoghar.
In Jammu & Kashmir, around 13 percent polling has been reported till 10.30 am in 20 Assembly constituencies in the fifth and final phase of elections. Highest 19.26 percent votes were cast in Akhnoor and lowest 4.61 percent in Rajouri constituency. No untoward incident has been reported from anywhere.
