Polling is progressing in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry to elect new Assemblies. In Kerala, polling in 140 Assemblies is underway since seven in Wednesday morning. Elaborate security is in place across the state, especially at sensitive booths. Voting for the 14th assembly elections have just begun in Tamil Nadu. There are 2748 candidates in fray for 234 Assembly seats. The ruling DMK party is contesting from 119 seats while AIADMK is contesting from 160 seats. In Puducherry, all necessary arrangements have been made for peaceful polling for the 30 member Assembly.
