In Himachal Pradesh, polling for the 25-member Shimla Municipal Corporation ended peacefully at 4 this evening. According to the preliminary report, more than 60 per cent voters turn over has been recorded. With this, the fate of 95 candidates have been sealed in the electronic voting machines, EVMs . The counting of votes will take place tomorrow from 8 am.This time election for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the municipal corporation in Shimla is also being held through direct vote for the first time .
