The polling for Biennial Elections to the four seats of Karnataka Legislative Council is progressing smoothly in the state today. The polling will be held till 5 p.m. in North-West and South Graduates' Constituencies and North-West and West Teachers' Constituencies. The teachers and registered Graduates of the constituencies are voting to elect their representatives in the Upper House.<br />''<br />''The ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress have fielded one candidate in each of the four constituencies and JD(S) has fielded its candidates in three constituencies excluding North-West Graduates' Constituency. There are 49 candidates in fray and there are 2,84,922 registered voters in 607 Polling Stations in four constituencies. The counting of votes will be taken up on Wednesday.<br />
