In Jharkhand polling for fourth phase of voting for 15 constituencies ended peacefully. Above 61 per cent polling has taken place. Voting in 13 constituencies was concluded at 3 PM and in Dhanbad and Bokaro seats it ended at 5 PM.
AIR correspondent reports that maximum above 71 per cent voting was reported from Chandankyari constituency of Bokaro district followed by above 70 per cent in Madhupura constituency. No untoward incident was reported from any poll districts of Dhanbad, Giridih, Bokaro, and Deoghar.
AIR correspondent reports, in Jharkhand polling was by and large peaceful. In the comparison of last three phases of ongoing assembly polls less voting has been recorded. But about 7 percent more electorates have exercised their franchise in today's voting in the comparison of 2009 Assembly elections. It is same in the comparison of last Look Sabha polls. Polling was initiated with dull note but it picked up in day hours. It was recorded about 13 percent during first two hours but it reached to above 30 percent in next two hours.
Maximum above 71 percent voting has taken place at Chandankyari constituency of Bokaro district. Minimum above 51 percent polling has taken place in Bokaro seat. Now political fate of 217 candidates including former chief minister Babulal Marandi and three ministers of State government has been sealed in electronic voting machines.
