Polling begins for By Elections in 3 Assembly Seats in U'khand

In Uttarakhand, polling has begun for the byelection to three assembly constituencies Dharchula, Someshwar and Doiwala. All arrangements for peaceful and fair polling have been made by the State Election Commission. Six companies of para military forces and 2 companies of PAC have been deployed to ensure peaceful polling. Chief Minister Harish Rawat is fighting election from Dharchula. He is required to get elected to the Assembly before 31st of this month. Former Congress MLA Harish Dhami had vacated the Dharchula seat for the Chief Minister. Doiwala and Someshwar seats fell vacant following the election of BJP MLAs to the Lok Sabha in the recent general elections.
