Poll Results:Left Front leading with wins in 11 seats in T'pura;NPF 17 in N'land & Cong 3 in M'laya

In Tripura, the ruling Left Front has won 11 seats and the Congress one, the results of which have been declared so far in the 60 member assembly. Left Front candidate were leading in 34 constituencies while Congress nominees in 7 when reports last came in.
Sitting CPIM candidate Yashbir Tripura has retained Jolaibari seat by defeating Congress candidate by over nine thousand vote. Jail minister and CPI candidate Manindra Reyang has been re-elected from Shantirbazar constituency by defeating his nearest Congress rival by three thousand 756 votes. Tribal Welfare minister Aghore Deb Barman is re-elected from Asharambari constituency. Finance Minister Badal Choudhury won his Hrishyamukh seat by a margin of over 12 thousand votes.CPIM sitting MLA Sudhan Das has been re-elected from Rajnagar constituency by over 10 thousand votes.
Chief Minister and CPI-M candidate Manik Sarkar was leading over his nearest Congress rival Shah Alam by 3 thousand 264 votes. Transport Minister Manik Dey was leading over his nearest rival candidate at Majlispur constituency. Health Minister and CPIM candidate Tapan Chakravarty was also leading by 1700 votes against his nearest Congress candidate. Social Welfare minister Bijita Nath is leading over nearest Congress candidate. State Congress President Sudip Ray Barman was leading by 700 votes against his nearest CPIM candidate. Opposition leader and Congress candidate Ratan Lal Nath was leading against his nearest Left Front rival. Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Samir Ranjan Barman was trailing against his nearest CPI-M candidate.
In Nagaland, out of 22 results declared so far 17 have gone in favour of Naga Peoples Front, Nationalist Congress party wins 2 seats while Congress party and BJP won each.
The Naga Peoples Front is leading in 10 constituencies, Congress is ahead in 5 constituencies, Nationalist Congress party in 3 seats, and others are leading in 7 seats.
The Phek constituency has gone in favour of an independent candidate. The BJP has won in Tizit constituency while in the Aboi constituency, Congress party candidate has been declared elected.
Polling for the Tuensang Sadar- I Assembly Constituency was countermanded due to the death of Congress Candidate and sitting MLA P. Chuba Chang.
In Meghalaya, all three results declared so far have gone in favour of Congress. The party has won in William Nagar, Ranikor and Mawkyrwat constituencies. The Congress is leading in 24 constituencies, UDP in 7, Hill State peoples Democratic Party in 4 and Nationalist Congress Party and Nationalist Peoples Party two each. Others are leading in 12 seats.
