As the polling day is coming nearer, campaigning in Himachal Pradesh has intensified. In charge of the Congress election campaign and Congress State President, Virbhadra Singh and BJP senior leader and Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal are on campaigning spree across the state and making every effort to win over the confidence of voters in their favour. Leaders of political parties are also doing door to door canvassing. Polling is to be held on November 4.Senior BJP leader and Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi has also reached to address a series of rallies in the state, today.Leveling of charges and counter charges of corruption is seems to be the main poll plank of almost all the political parties, especially Congress and BJP. Where, the star campaigners of Congress are highlighting the liberal central assistance given under various schemes to the state and failure of BJP government to utilize it, BJP leaders are highlighting discriminatory attitude of the allegedly corrupt UPA govt. against the BJP-run states including Himachal Pradesh in giving funds.Congress is even blaming that the state government is taking credit of the Central schemes by changing their names.Other parties like BSP, newly formed Himachal Lolkhit Party which is a break away group of BJP, CPI-M, CPI, Nationalist Congress Party and Trinamool Congress are taking up the issues of corruption and misgovernance by Congress and BJP. They are describing both these major parties as two sides of the same coin which are befooling the people of the state by fighting mock battles in public.
