Poll campaigning in Goa intensifies

The election campaigning in Goa has intensified ahead of the State Assembly polls slated for March 3. The election rallies of prominent leaders of various political parties are being held in various constituencies.Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary-in-Charge of the state, Gopinath Munde has reiterated the demand to publish the Shah Commission report with regard to illegal mining in the state before the Assembly Elections.The main tussle this time, would be between the ruling Congress and Nationalist Congress Party alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party and Maharshtravadi Gomantak Party combine.The MGP has sided with the BJP on the verge of elections after getting out of the Congress-led alliance. There are 215 candidates in fray for total 40 seats locked mostly in the multi-cornered contests.
