Congress today said the poll campaign should be focused on development and not religion. Party's reference was in the context of Prime Minister's remarks about graveyard and cremation ground during an election rally in Fatehpur yesterday. <br/><br/>Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesman Anand Sharma said, the Election Commission should take congnisance of Prime Minister's comments. Mr Sharma said, the BJP has been making hollow claims about the development. <br/><br/>The spokesman said, rural economy has been affected post demonetization and there is no substantial progress with regard to generation of employment.
