Poll campaign has reached its peak for the Tiruchirapalli West Assembly byelection in Tamil Nadu to be held on October 13. AIADMK General Secretary and Chief Minister Selvi Jayalaithaa addressed several campaign meetings in favour of party candidate Paramjothi in the constituency Sunday evening.She said her government is implementing many benefit schemes and steps are being taken to remove power cuts in the State. DMK leader and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will be addressing a public meeting in support of his party’s candidate K N Nehru tomorrow.The votes will be counted on October 17 and the result will be announced on that day itself.The seat fell vacant as the sitting MLA and State Environment Minister Mariampichai died in a road accident near Padalur on May 23 this year.
