In Kerala, scrutiny of nomination papers for next month's assembly polls is being done on Monday. Both the ruling LDF and opposition UDF fronts have intensified their first round of poll campaign. Wednesday being the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers the battle lines will become more clear in the coming days. Meanwhile, the election commission has clarified that the cost of using helicopters for poll campaign will be considered as expense incurred by the respective political party and not that of the candidate.
