Political parties work out post-poll strategy;BJP Prez meets top party and RSS leaders separately; Cong spokespersons meet this evening

With just a day left for the counting votes, political parties are having consultations to work out their strategy in the post poll scenario.

BJP President Rajnath Singh today met RSS leader Suresh Soni in New Delhi. It is believed that they discussed the political situation that is likely to emerge after declaration of Election results.

The meeting held at the residence of BJP chief was also attended by party leaders including Ram Lal. Later, BJP Uttar Pradesh In-charge Amit Shah also met Rajnath Singh.

The meetings came close on the heels of Rajnath's meeting with BJP leader Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad yesterday where other leaders Arun Jaitley and Nitin Gadkari were also present.

Reports say that while the BJP top brass is working out roles for party veterans including L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi in case of forming the next government, it is also working on changes within the party that includes the change of guard steering the party.

Congress has convened a meeting of its spokespersons this evening in New Delhi to discuss the matter. The meeting has been called by AICC general secretary Ajay Maken who is in-charge of the party's communication department.
