Political parties meet to discuss rising food inflation

The leaders of political parties including the Left, SP, RJD, AIADMK, BJD, INLD, RLD and JDS are meeting in New Delhi on Monday to discuss rising food inflation. <br/><br/>The meeting is likely to finalise the political strategy of these parties on the price rise issue despite sharp differences between left, SP and RJD on Women's Reservation issue. <br/><br/>According to Left party sources a comprehensive programme for national wide Bandh may be finalised in the meeting as government has not heeded to their demand of a roll back in the price rise of petroleum products. <br/><br/>The parties are also likely to finalise their floor strategy for the second part of the Budget Session beginning on Thursday and may plan to bring some cut motions on the Finance Bill. <br/><br/>The issue of nuclear liability bill and growing Maoist violence will also figure in the discussions said Left party sources. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent adds, that though the Bahujan Samaj Party has been invited to join the meeting, party sources indicated that they may not attend the same. <br/>
