Political parties & leaders condole death of Surendra Mohan

Several political parties and leaders have expressed deep sorrow over the death of the veteran freedom fighter Surendra Mohan. In a statement, party General Secretary A B Bardhan said that Mohan stood all his life for the causes of downtrodden and always took initiatives in building broadbased struggles. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief at the death of Surendra Mohan; the country has lost a renowned socialist thinker and activist. The Karnataka JDU unit also mourned the death of the social activist. The party said in its condolence message in Bangalore that Mohan’s death will create a void in the country's socialist movement. 84-year-old Mohan, a former Rajya Sabha MP of Janata Dal, died at his residence in Delhi this morning due to a cardiac arrest.
