Political parties give mixed reactions to Rail Budget

There is a mixed reaction to rail budget by the Political parties. While the ruling congress described it as growth oriented and pro people opposition said it is over ambitious and lacks vision. Congress spokesman Mr. Manish Tiwari said that budget is addressing the concerns of all and will fuel growth. He said this is for the first time that a futuristic budget has been presented. Senior Congress leader and Union Minister Mr. Vilas Rao Deshmukh welcomed the greater connectivity by rail as it will prove very fruitful for people in Mumbai. Mr. Sachin Pilot said that the budget is taking care of all sections of people. The CPI leader Mr. Gurudas Dasgupta that the budget has political over tones with the forthcoming West Bengal elections in view. BJP leader Mr. Anant Kumar questioned the schemes proposed in the railway budget as they have no approval from the Planning Commission. He said there is no indication of resource mobilisation for many projects proposed in the budget.
