Political parties condemn Delhi blast

Congress today strongly condemned the bomb blasts in the Delhi High court complex this morning. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Congress spokesman Rashid Alvi expressed his sympathies with the victims and said that strict action should be taken against the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

BJP also condemned the blast in the Delhi High court complex this morning. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, party spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said that it is a matter of great pain and agony that a blast has happened in front of the Delhi High Court, for the second time within four months. He held the government responsible for intelligence failure.

CPI called for a thorough probe into the blast in the Delhi High Court complex. Talking to reporters outside parliament, party leader D Raja said that the guilty should no go scott free. Senior Party leader Gurudas Das Gupta demanded a statement from the government on the issue. He held the Delhi police responsible for being negligent.

CPI(M) today appealed to the government to take firm steps to curb the menace of terrorism. Condemning the terror attack at Delhi High Court Complex senior party leader Sitaram Yechury said that repetition of terror attacks in the national Capital is a matter of grave concern. Mr. Yechury added that terror attacks should not be linked with any religion.

JD(U) president Sharad Yadav said that terrorists whose mercy pleas have been rejected by the president should be hanged. This, he said, will send a strong message to the terror groups.
