Political leaders continue to visit Apollo hospital to inquire about Jayalaithaa' health

In Chennai, various political leaders and government functionaries continue to visit the Apollo hospital where the Tamil Nadu chief minister J.Jayalaithaa is undergoing treatment for the past 22 days.<br/><br/> Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and BJP President Amit Shah visited the hospital yesterday and spent about 25 minutes. Later in their tweets, they wished a speedy recovery to Ms Jayalalithaa, who is under respiratory support. Three specialists from the Delhi AIIMS and a specialist form the UK have overseen the line of treatment being provided to the 68 year leader of the ruling AIADMK. <br/><br/>The reallocation of chief minister Jayalalithaa's portfolios to the state finance minister O.Panneerselvm in her absence has become a subject for debate in political circles in the state. The opposition DMK and the PMK have questioned how the ailing chief minister conveyed her advise to the Governor about the move. However, the DMK chief M.Karunanidhi has welcomed the decision on administrative grounds. <br/><br/>An AIADMK spokesperson CR Saraswati has however explained that a message on the reallocation has gone to her at the hospital bed which was given her nod. The hospital has said Ms Jayalalithaa requires a longer stay in the hospital.
