In Assam, political campaigns have intensified in all the 62 constituencies going to Assembly polls on the 4th of the next month. Senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj and Asom Gana Parishad leader and former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta today addressed election rallies in Barak Valley and Upper Assam. While Senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee has taken up peace and development as the main poll planks, opposition Asom Gana Parishad, BJP and Left parties raised issues of corruption, price rise and good governance.
