Political battles escalate in Telangana as parties strategies for assembly election

In Telangana, all major political parties are intensifying their campaign and battle lines are drawn for the assembly elections with the withdrawal of nominations coming to an end. Several leaders of major parties including the Congress and others who had filed nominations as independents after failing to obtain tickets to contest have withdrawn in favour of official candidates.<br />''<br />''However, the final number of candidates left in the fray will be known only after the election authorities fully receive the information from the constituencies.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the authorities have begun distributing the Voter Information Slips in the constituencies. <br />''<br />''On the other side, electioneering is getting steam with top leaders of various political parties scheduled to reach for the state to campaign in support of their party candidates.<br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent said, "Several prominent issues frequently find a place in the electioneering of top leaders of various parties and emerge as major discussing points in the elections. They include Chief Minister from Backward Classes, corruption at higher positions, dynasty and appeasement politics, implementation of assurances given during the elections, farmers welfare schemes, 24-hour electricity supply to the agriculture sector, cooking gas cylinder at 400 rupees, employment to youth and interestingly the performance of Karnataka Government. The BJP which promised Chief Minister Candidate from Backward Classes has given party tickets to a total of 39 BC candidates along with its ally Janasena, whereas the party claimed that the BRS and Congress could give less than 25 seats against over 55 percent of their population. Meanwhile, top leaders of all parties are likely to reach the state in a day or two to focus on electioneering in Telangana.<br />
