Political activities gain momentum in poll bound States

The political activities are gearing up in Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh as filing of nomination for the Assembly polls begin on Friday. br/br/Political heat is rising in Maharashtra as various political parties are holding parleys on seat sharing. The Congress and NCP combine that had contested and won majority of seats in the 2004 polls, is in the final stages of deciding upon the seat sharing formula. br/br/Poll activities in Haryana has also gained momentum. The state is set to witness multicornered contest. AIR Correspondent reports that the Assembly elections will be held on the basis of the new delimitation of constituencies. br/br/In Arunachal Pradesh, the poll process for the assembly elections has geared up with Nationalist Congress Party releasing its Election Manifesto. br/br/Releasing the manifesto in Itanagar, the NCP state unit president L.Wanglat said the NCP will work for the promotion of social equality, communal harmony and balanced regional development. br/br/It also promised to make Arunachal a tourist hub. The ruling Congress Party had already declared its first list comprising 56 candidates.
