Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that his Ministry is examining how a combat role can be assigned to the women in the armed forces. <br/><br/>Speaking at a function in Panaji on Sunday, Mr Parrikar said that women will be trained on how to overcome psychological barriers and they would be transformed into best pilots so that they can fight the enemy confidently. <br/><br/>Stating that women in the armed forces could also be used in counter terrorism, Mr Parrikar, however, said that it may not be possible overnight and could even take years. He said that it could be done in a phased manner.<br/><br/>Mr Parrikar further said that 'Make in India' is a must for defence because we spend 2,50,000 crore rupees every year on our preparedness.
