Police Unearth Major Drug Trafficking Network in Nagaland; Ongoing Investigation Reveals Operations Spread Across Multiple States

<span style="color: #222222;">In Nagaland, the police have unearthed one of the largest nexus operating drug trafficking networks spreading across mainly Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Punjab as well as possibly other States of the country.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An arrest was made from Sechu Zubza under Kohima District on the 13th of November, where two traffickers from Manipur were caught carrying heroin and upon interrogation, the two accused are suspected to have trafficked around 60 Kgs of heroin worth about 400 crore rupees within one year. Informing this in a press conference held at Police Headquarters Kohima today, Director General of Police ( DGP) Nagaland, Rupin Sharma said the police have successfully so far nabbed 12 persons who are part of this network and they belong to Nagaland, Manipur and Assam.<br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The DGP said, the case is still under investigation and added that there are involvement of many other people in this network, which will be unearthed soon.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Mr. Sharma said that since the 1st of January 2023 till date, a total of 318 cases have been registered and 456 persons have been arrested in connection with NDPS-related activities. </span><br />
