In Nigeria, a police station in the northern city of Maiduguri has been destroyed in an attack blamed on the Boko Haram Islamic sect. One policeman was injured by gunmen who shot at the entrance before an explosion inside injured another policeman and woman. The attack follows the killing on Saturday of an Islamic scholar. Police say a locally made Molotov cocktail exploded inside the police station.At least 16 people, mostly police officers, have been killed in the city in the past two months.
