Police custody of Mumbai terror suspects extended

The police custody of two arrested terror suspects Abdul Latif Rashid and Riyaz Ali Imtiaz was extended till March 24 by a local court in Mumbai today. Rashid and Latif, both residents of Mumbai, were arrested on Saturday last week by Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for allegedly planning terror attacks in the city.<br/><br/><br/>They were in police custody till today and were produced before the Mazgaon court, where the ATS sought their further remand to interrogate them and ascertain the identity of the 'uncle', who was instructing them from Pakistan.<br/> <br/>The police have said that the duo had conducted a recce of three targets including headquarters of public sector petroleum company ONGC, Thakkar Mall in suburban Mumbai and Mangaldas Market in South Mumbai.
