The Ferozepur police claimed to have arrested three farmers who have been cultivating land near the Indo-Pak border beyond barbered wire on having links with Pakistan in smuggling heroin while the kingpin managed to escape to crack the nexus. <br/><br/>SSP, Ferozepur Gaurav Garg, said, that the police under its special campaign against unscrupulous persons and drug smugglers arrested three farmers from village Madhre situated on the border road leading to Hussainiwala, identified as Mohinder Singh son of Karnail Singh, Jarnail Singh son of Kashmir Singh of village Dulle Ke and Major Singh son of Jeet Singh of Gandhu Kilcha, falling under Mamdot Police Station. <br/><br/>The police source said, so far kingpin Mukhtiar Singh son of Kashmir Singh of village Gandhu Kilcha, who used to further supply the heroin have so far supplied 25 packets of heroin having Rs.125 crore value in the international market. <br/><br/>The other three farmers who have cultivating land across the barbered fencing on the Indo-Pak border, used to bring the heroin by hiding in the box under the shaft of the tractor of Mukhtiar Singh. <br/><br/>First, they managed 9 packets, followed by 8 packets just after 20 days and 8 packets after another week's gap.<br/><br/>Mukhtiar Singh used to supply to further sources and give due share to all the three farmers associated with him in this task. The police put up a naka to arrest the accused . Mukhtiar Singh was having a plastic bag in his hand. <br/><br/>The other three were arrested while Mukthiar Singh managed to escape from the scene and dropped the heroin from the plastic envelope on the ground which was later on found to be weighing 115 gms. <br/><br/>A case under NDPS Act Sections 21, 29, 61 and 85 has been registered at Sadar Police Station and further investigation is on.<br/>
