Police arrests TRS president at Alugunur

In Andhra Pradesh, tension prevailed in north Telengana districts following the arrest of Telengana Rashtra Samiti President and MP, K Chandrasekhara Rao . He was arrested this morning at Alugunur, near Karimnagar town while on his way to launch ‘fast unto death’ demanding separate statehood for Telangana. Meanwhile, TRS MLA and Chandrasekhara Rao’s nephew, Harish Rao began fast at Siddipet while hundreds of party activists formed human barricades to prevent police to enter the premises. Tension prevailed in several districts including Karimnagar, Warangal, Medak and Nizamabad as party activists are protesting the arrest of Chandrasekhara Rao. Meanwhile, Chief Minister K Rosaiah reviewed the situation with the home minister and DGP in Hyderabad.<br/>
