In Kashmir Valley, Police have arrested three persons in connection with the Sunday's grenade attack in busy Lal Chowk area of Srinagar city. Four civilians and two jawans of Central Reserve Police Force were injured in the attack carried out on 2nd February.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar, Haseeb Mughal said that three youth allegedly having links with the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist outfit have been arrested. He identified the arrested youth as Shakeel Ahmad Band, Naveed-ul Lateef Padroo of Pulwama and Shamshad Manzoor of Shopian district.<br />'' <br />'' Shakeel Ahmad Band is the nephew of former Peoples Democratic Party leader and three-time MLA from Pulwama, Mohammad Khalil Band. He was minister for agriculture in last PDP-BJP coalition government. In 2019, Band resigned from PDP and joined the National Conference.<br />'' <br />'' The SSP said that arrested youth were students and were in constant touch with terrorists across the border. He said that the purpose of Sunday's attack was to create fear among people and disrupt normal life. He later told media that the former minister will also be questioned as his nephew was staying in his house for past some time. <br />''
