In Madhya Pradesh, police arrested former union minister and state Congress president Kantilal Bhuria along with several congress activists in Bhopal on Tuesday, when they were trying to demonstrate against alleged attacks on Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh by BJP workers. AIR correspondent reports that the state legislative assembly will discuss the issue of alleged attacks on Digvijay Singh in Ujjain and Shajpur at 3 pm on Tuesday. Stating that Congress workers didn’t have necessary permission to stage demonstration in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at old legislative assembly campus, Bhopal district administration arrested Kantilal Bhuria and other Congressmen. Mr. Bhuria termed the police action as arbitrary. Congress workers also staged demonstration at RoshanPura square in Bhopal. On the other hand, reacting on chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan remark that he is anarchist, Mr. Digvijay Singh has dared him to ban his entry in Madhya Pradesh. The state legislative assembly will discuss alleged attacks on Digvijay Singh Tuesday afternoon. According to BJP sources party will try to put Digvijay Singh in dock over his controversial remarks. The proceedings of the state legislative assembly were adjourned twice yesterday on this issue.
