In Assam, three NSCN-Issac-Muivah cadres, including a self-styled lieutenant, were apprehended in a joint operation by Assam Rifles and police at Halflong in North Cachar Hills district Saturday night. Security forces recovered two grenades, one nine mm pistol and an extortion note from the possession of the ultras. Police said the militants were camping in the area to expand their organizational activities and launch its extortion drive.The interrogation of the militants are on.
